  Kufa Foundation was established by Mohamed Saleh Makiya in London in the 1990s as a continuation of Kufa University, a project he pioneered in Baghdad in the 1960s. Its Library contains numerous manuscripts that Mohamed Makiya, and his wife Margaret Makiya, collected over many decades.
