Son of Husn-i Jan Khanum and Sultan Ibrahim Mirza. In 1906, at the age of thirty, he married Badr al-Sadat (Ma‘rifat al-Saltanah); their children: Muhammad Sharif, Ahmad, Hurmuz, Raf‘at al-Muluk, and Tal‘at al-Muluk.
