Khadijah Afzal Vaziri

Khadijah Khanum, known as Afzal, the daughter of Bibi Khanum Astarabadi and Musa Khan Vaziri, was born in 1890 or 1891. When her mother opened the girls' school, she started teaching there. Khadijah Afzal's writings were published in periodicals such as Shukufah, ‘Alam-i Nisvan, Shafaq-i Surkh, and Iran-i Naw. She was married to Muhammad Baqir Mallah (Aqa Buzurg Mallah), who was Bibi Khanum's nephew from his half-brother. They had the following children: Mahlaqa, Amir Hushang, Husayn‘ali, Mihrangiz, Khusraw, and Taymur, who died when he was 11 months old. Khadijah Afzal died in 1980 or 1981 at the age of 89.
