Women's Worlds in Qajar Iran

Daughter of ʻIffat al-Sadat Tabatabayi Vakili and Muhammad Baqir Amir Qasimi; wife of Hasan Shamsavari. She is a retired assistant professor of Sociology and Literature in Tabriz University, a writer, and a researcher. She started her career in Farhangistan-i Zaban-i Iran, and wrote several books for children and young adults. In 2008, she published the first Iranian encyclopedia for children and young adults which was a sixteen-year long project. She has also published other books, including "About the Mythical Tales," based on her research on Iran's mythology.
