Mihrtaj (Badr al-Duja) Rakhshan

Mihrtaj (Badr al-Duja) Rakhshan Tihrani, daughter of Hamidah Khanum and Mirza Muhammad Baqir Razavi known as Imam al-Hukama’, the judge and physician of the court, was born in 1881 or 1882 in Tehran. She is the founder of Umm al-Madaris, one of the first girls' schools in Iran. Mihrtaj Rakhshan died on September 20, 1974 in Damavand.
