Fakhr al-Muluk

Fakhr al-Muluk (Baygum Jan Khanum) was the first child of Galin Khanum and Nasir al-Din Shah, and Nasir al-Din Shah's first daughter. She was born in 1846 (or 1847) in Tabriz while her father was still the crown prince. On the maternal line, Fakhr al-Muluk was the grandchild of Ahmad ʻAli Mirza (Fath ʻAli Shah's 19th son). In 1863 (or 1864) she married Muhammad Mahdi Khan Iʻtizad al-Dawlah (the son of Mirza Muhammad Khan Sipahsalar Qajar). They had five children: Galin Khanum Afsar al-Dawlah, ʻAbbas Khan Iʻtizad al-Dawlah, Fathʻali Khan Sipahsalar, Muhammad Khan Jalal al-Saltanah, and Husayn Khan Iʻtizad al-Mulk. Fakhr al-Muluk was a poet and her pen name was Fakhri. Every year she wrote a poem for her father's (Nasir al-Din Shah Qajar) birthday. She died on 11 March 1894.
